weekend, wedding & wildcats

I mentioned on Friday that Jaqs and I were headed home for the weekend for a close friend's wedding, and we had a wonderful time on our visit! Jaqs did SO WELL in the car (hallelujah!) and was absolutely thrilled to be at GG & Pop's house. Of course, my precious mama had bed treats waiting for both of us! She's the best. If you go stay with her, you'll get them, too!
Rob's mom came over to visit her grand-girl after her nap that afternoon, and I'm glad they got the chance to play together for a couple hours, too! That evening, my parents and I took the little lady to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. She was apprehensive about everything going on but loved wandering around looking at all the games! Of course she loved the pizza, too ;)

We put Jaqs (and Pop...ha!) to bed, then my mama and I went on a girl's date. Ah, it was so good for the soul! Love getting to spend quality one-on-one time with my mom. I hope to be everything that my mom is to me to Jaqs one day.

Saturday afternoon was the play-off game, and unfortunately we lost. It is always bittersweet when the season ends, but the Wildcats had an awesome season this year. I know Rob is proud to have been a part of this team, and we're proud of him, too! I'd be lying if I said Jaqs and I weren't happy to have more time with him again though. We've missed him around here!

Saturday evening was the main event....Laura's wedding! Laura and I have been friends since birth as our parents are best friends, and she is one of those people that will ALWAYS be close to my heart as will the rest of her family!
My little pea got all fancy for the wedding, and I must say, she looked pretty sweet!

GG & Pop clean up nice, too!

Jaqs had an absolute BLAST at the wedding! She played with the other kids, ate cupcakes, and danced the night away with Pop. She was one happy girl.
One little boy was break dancing, and Jaqs decided to try it out for herself. Crazy girl! she did this several times throughout the night and had us cracking up. Love her.
my people...love my parents!

the beautiful bride!
Congratulations Laura & Brady!
May your lifetime together be filled with many blessings & lots of love!

The rest of our weekend was spent playing and running around town. As always, we had a wonderful time at home, and we're already looking forward to going back for Thanksgiving next week! Even more excited that Rob will be joining us on the trip for the first time since August! Woohoo!

a bloesch wedding!

On January 28, 2012 my dear friend, Lexi, married the love of her life! The weekend was so much fun, the wedding was beautiful, and most importantly we got to celebrate the beginning of 'happily ever after' for our friends.

Friday night was, of course, rehearsal and dinner!
Practice makes perfect, after all...
Saturday morning all of us girls hung out at Lexi's parents house and leisurely got ready for the main event. It was a relaxing morning and afternoon which was just what the bride needed! There was no stress whatsoever...doesn't get any better than that! Once we were all ready, the pictures began and things started to get a little more real...
Lexi looked gorgeous, didn't she?! Picture perfect dress!

*I don't have any pictures of the actual wedding, so you'll have to keep checking Lexi's blog for those :)*

After the vows were made and rings exchanged, it was time to party! The reception was so fun, and we got to hang out with so many people we love! Friends old and new.

Mr. & Mrs. Bloesch -- I hope your wedding day was just as you dreamed it to be! We were so glad to be a part of the big day, but even happier to be a part of your lives. Your story is just beginning, the best is yet to come! I just know that our God has big plans for you two. Love, love!!

home-home

We've been lucky enough to get to spend some time home-home in Abilene this week, and we've had a lot of fun! Last Friday night Rob took his grandparents to Lubbock to see his brother graduate, so I third-wheeled it with my parents on their anniversary date.
They were celebrating 34 years!
Aren't they cute?
They are the greatest example to my brother and me of what marriage should look like, and we're so thankful to have grown up with them as our parents.
I pray that we can do the same for our own children...it's the greatest gift.

On Saturday night, Rob and I went to the wedding of our friends Jay & Ashley!
dressed up & ready to go!
the gorgeous bride! she looked awesome.
my forever friend--anna
in case it isn't obvious, this is the bride's twin sister, Emily! love those girls.

After the wedding, we went to hang out with coaching friends still at Cooper. I can't remember whether I ever mentioned it or not, but one of the coaching families bought our 'old' house in Abilene, and that's where we hung out Saturday. It's always funny to go back into that house now because it feels like I should still be living there. We only lived there for about 5 months, after all! Anyway, it was fun to be with everyone again...we always have a good time with them! :) Plus, 3 of us are preggo, so there's lots of baby talk.

We're just hanging out and enjoying family and friends now! We're finished with Christmas shopping, and all the presents are wrapped. I'm so excited for Christmas this year! We even have a chance for snow on Christmas Eve! YAY!!

Carroll Wedding Weekend!

We finally have internet at the new house! Yipppeeee! That means I can get caught up on blogging and reading all of your blogs :)
And I just realized that I did these pictures backwards...apparently my brain forgot how blogger worked. My bad. I don't really want to go back and change it now, so just forgive me. Please?
And moving right along...

On June 11th, a couple of our besties got hitched! It was such a FUN weekend, and we just couldn't be happier for these two!
After primping the day away on Saturday, it was wedding time! Of course, I have no ceremony pictures, but I can assure you that it was gorgeous and so sweet. The reception was a blast! I think it's safe to say a good time was had by all.
I'll hush now and let the pictures do (most) of the talking...

I now realize that I never hit up the candy bar...what a shame.
Julie, can I have a redo??

Check out the beautiful centerpieces...

Is she not one of the prettiest brides you've ever seen?!

The bouquets around the cake were the bridesmaid flowers, and we each wore different colored shoes represented in the bouquets. SO cute with our platinum dresses! I'll post a picture of that when the professional ones come out.

Love my sweet parents.

My bestie since 5th grade...Anna Grace!

And since we're backwards...here are a few of us before rehearsal dinner...

And a picture of all of our goodies from Julie!
Such a great gift...we all LOVED our packages!

The bride and myself at the bridal luncheon...

Mr. & Mrs. Carroll~
I just know y'all have a lifetime of love and happiness ahead! We are so thankful for your friendship and so excited to share the future with you. I know we have a lot of good times ahead...the best is yet to be! Looking forward to your visit to the big T! We love y'all!

a jean story & the weekend

Hello friends - hope y'all had a wonderful weekend! The Galusha's sure did!

We started things off on Friday evening with our newest hobby...riding bikes! It was so much fun...I love being active and enjoying the outdoors with my hubby. We then headed out to dinner with Jerrod and Julie! We always have so much fun with them...lots of laughs were had by all!

On Saturday morning I helped my mom and Lisa put on a bridal shower for a family friend's soon to be daughter-in-law! She had a great party, and it was fun to see people I hadn't seen in awhile.
After the shower, our usual Saturday ritual commenced...lunch and shopping! I really don't know how we have SOMETHING to shop or look for every Saturday, but one of the three of us always has a mission.
This week it was me.
Remember how I was wanting some white jeans? Well, it turned out to be the biggest ordeal! Most stores do indeed have white jeans, but all of them are skinnies, and they were just not looking good on me! I decided I wanted a flared leg, but the only ones I could find were more than I was wanting to spend. I finally found some I LOVED at Express, so I just bit the bullet and spent the money. I couldn't save pictures from their site, so if you're curious, I got THESE. Well, wouldn't ya know they had a buy one get one 50% off sale? So, I practically HAD to get THESE as well. I'm very happy with both of my purchases!

Whew! Moving right along...
Saturday night was another fun night spent with friends! We enjoyed a yummy dinner then went to listen to live music and to just be together. We're so blessed to have such great friends!

The boys...all football, all the time. We love 'em!

Sunday was Julie's first bridal shower! Yippee!! Their wedding is coming up so fast, and we are SO ecstatic to be a part of it all!
Jerrod came towards the end to load and take their loot home...little did he know he was going to get in on the gift-opening action! Not sure he loved that ;)

Julie & I post-presents...we were a little sweaty! It's hard work, yanno!

Now with another maid & lifetime friend of Julie's - Dakota. She was the gift "charter" as the boys called it. HA!

They incurred quite the loot, didn't they?

Their kitchen is now well-stocked!

Rob came to help Jerrod take things to their house, so they had a little snack before they went to work. It's pretty comedic to see a couple of "manly-men" eating girl food!

Sunday evenings are almost always spent at my parents' house, and this one was no different. It's such a perfect way to wrap up the weekend and get ready for the week ahead! I'm loving that it's so warm now because that means grilling and rocking on their back porch...

I love it!
