2 Years

On Monday (July 5th) Rob & I celebrated 2 years of marriage! It's hard to believe that we've already been married two years, and it's even harder to believe that we've been together for over SEVEN! Wow! Time sure does fly when you're having fun! :) In honor of 2 years of wedded bliss, I decided to post some of my favorite pictures of us over the last few years! I need to get the old pictures off my parents' computer of the "early years" because those are funny, and I'd like to put them on the ol' blog for memories sake. Anyway, enough of that and on to the pictures.

Honeymoon in Riviera Maya...

Honeymoon horseback riding...in sombrero helmets! Ha!

Wedding Day...obviously :)

And the gorgeous roses I received on Monday!

I am SO thankful for my amazing husband! He is such a passionate person, and he works so hard to provide for us. He is everything and more that I dreamed my husband would be. I could go on forever about all the things I love about him, but I won't....I already wrote them in his card, anyway ;) Ha!

Happy Anniversary, babe! I'm looking forward to spending many more wonderful years with you!!

Let freedom ring!

This 4th of July weekend has been awesome! My brother, Kenneth, and his fiance, Nicole, came in town to spend the long weekend with us, and we've had a lot of fun! Saturday morning we went to a neighborhood parade to kick-off the festivities...

My mom & her BFF, Lisa, rode their scooters together...

Most of Lisa's family lives in the neighborhood, so they were all in the parade! You might remember that precious pig-tailed girl from previous posts...

She rode with her momma & grandparents with Dad riding his scooter alongside.

There were even classic cars that had the guys drooling!

I do love Mustangs...they're so pretty!

My precious parents...

The soon to be Mr. & Mrs.!

And my sweet hubby & me...he's so handsome!

After the parade, there was home-ade ice cream in a nearby church gym for everyone to enjoy! I didn't have any because I'm afraid of getting "glutened," but from what I could tell it was pretty yummy! Natalie was such a friendly girl that day, so we were all passing the munchkin around :)

I love her snuggles.

Saturday night we went back over to Al & Lisa's for their annual 4th of July BBQ. We enjoyed a shmorgishborg of salads, chips, dips, fruits, hot dogs, & desserts! After we stuffed ourselves silly, we hung out on their porch just visiting and laughing. I love being with family and friends who feel like family! Natalie, of course, provided endless entertainment. Dad read to her for awhile...he's going to make a great grandpa some day!

Al & Lisa...

Humidity & rain do amazing things to my hair....(sarcasm!)

After the BBQ, Rob & I met up with some of his friends from high school who were in town. We had fun catching up with everyone!

Sunday morning, we went to church and had lunch with Rob's grandparents then we went over to their house for home-ade fresh peach pie. Nanny even made me a crustless one! It was so delicious. There's just nothin' like your grandma's cookin! Sunday afternoon, we went to my grandparent's house for, you guessed it, MORE eating! Haha - it's just the American way, right? We spent a few hours hanging out with them, and we had fun, but I didn't take any pictures! When we came back in town, we went back to Al & Lisa's for fireworks.

We had a fun-family-friend & food-filled fourth!
I am so thankful for my freedoms and for those who serve to protect it!

I'm also thankful that I didn't have school or work today to recover from all the fun! Also, today is mine & Rob's 2 year wedding anniversary! We're going out to celebrate tonight, so I'll dedicate a separate post to that :) I know I say it all the time, but we sure are blessed!

Decision made! :)

I'm happy to say that I (we) MADE A DECISION!! I know marriage is always supposed to be a "we" thing, but honestly, I'm the one who has trouble making decisions around here because Rob usually just tends to agree with me when it comes to decorating our home :) Sweet man. Anyway, here's what we decided on....

I know I had said that I wanted a sofa and cute chair, but we figured we could use the extra seat with a love-seat, and we already have the chair below, so I didn't really want to have two competing patterns.

I don't love (actually I hate :)) the pattern on the pillows that came with the sofa and love-seat, so I am on the lookout for a fun (and hopefully on sale!) pattern to recover them in. I'd like to get something that pulls in the reds and greens in our living room. I'm really happy with the new furniture though...both have already been napped on, so that's a good sign!

I'm also thinking about a big, square ottoman covered in the same fabric...hopefully I find something I love soon!

I also added a little something to our kitchen....

a chalkboard! Whoever thought of chalkboard paint is a genius! I've always wanted to have a little something to write our weekly menus on, so this was the answer!

Well, I'm off to study for my test tomorrow...I don't know about you, but I am READY for the holiday weekend!! Now, if only the weather would cooperate with all of our outdoor activities...
