Hi friends! I have missed y'all. Disappearing last week was necessary for me, but now I'm feeling renewed and refreshed. Of course, this beautiful, fall-ish weather has also helped with that! Isn't wonderful what a season change can do for you? I love it. God's little reminders, I think.
Anyway, as I mentioned in my last post, Jaqs & I spend the weekend before last in Abilene with my momma. We did a lot of relaxing, a lot of playing, plus some shopping & eating out on the side. So nice to be home, but we're always anxious to be back with Rob, too.
park fun + bed treats...my mom never forgets them! |
mmmm, sorbet pops for the pea! |
Jaqs had something of an allergy attack last week, so she wasn't feeling so great. That coupled with some other things going on made for a really crappy week. I was determined to have a better weekend, and that we did!
Jaqs' half birthday was Saturday, so she got to have donut holes for the first time to celebrate! Momma hadn't been to the store in nearly 2 weeks, so it was the perfect distraction for a long grocery trip ;) She LOVED them. She started by licking them to death then got so excited when she actually tasted it. Silly girl. I love her.
Rob had a really long week, so when he requested frito pies for dinner, I jumped right on it. We had a family night in (except for a trip to Target for The Little Mermaid) on Saturday and just relaxed together. It was nice to hang out & watch a few of the many shows stacked up on our DVR!
I made pumpkin spice pancakes on Sunday morning...we have pumpkin EVERYTHING in October! :) It's a must, right? We spent the rest of the morning bumming around together before it was time for Rob to go to work. Thank goodness for friends to spend Sunday afternoon/evenings with!

Hope your Monday is off to a good start!

Your mom is so sweet with her bed treats! I haven't given my daughter a donut hole yet, that would be fun to watch her eat. Your little girl is SO adorable!
Confession: I let mine eat donut holes last May to keep her quiet during church. Anytime I put her in the nursery I get called out and it was my brother's Senior Recognition so the donut holes were my best chance at making it through the service! haha
Sounds like a great trip! And I need to try the pumpkin spice pancakes!
How sweet of your Momma! Such a nice host!
And please share your pumpkin pancake recipe.
I just love the bed treats...so fun! I'm going to start doing that for our guests. Yours will be ready and waiting :)
I need to know about these pumpkin pancakes...recipe please!
