Rob's Birthday

As I said Friday, we celebrated Rob's birthday this weekend!
It's so hard for me to believe that we've been celebrating birthdays together for 10 years now...just crazy! There's no one else I'd rather grown old with though :)
Rob is everything I imagined my husband would be and MORE. I feel immensely blessed every day by him and by the life we share...even on the days we drive each other bananas. There are so many good things to say about this guy; he's filled with wonderful traits: he's dedicated, he's passionate, he's silly, he's nurturing, he's strong, he's a hard worker, and he loves God and his family like crazy.
Oh, and he's pretty easy on the eyes, too ;)

Rob's twin brother, Will, was passing through town on their big day, so he stopped in for a few hours to hang out and see Jaqs. We went to the park, and I made a complete picnic to have while we were there. Of course, there was something in the air, and these brothers have awful allergies, so both of them became miserable after only an hour or so of being there.
I felt terrible for them, so we packed up and brought our picnic home where they proceeded to go through a box of Kleenex in record time. Poor guys.
We still had fun playing for a bit, and Jaqs was loving having daddy and "Wheel" around!

We put the little one down for her nap, Will went on to his destination, and I got dinner prepped for our wild and crazy evening in ;)
I love J in this picture...she had just woken up :)
I made some favorites for Rob's dinner: beef filets, PW's crash hot potatoes, roasted asparagus, and jalapeno poppers! Mmmm. Ended with chocolate cake, of course!
We didn't do anything super exciting and fancy, but we spent the day just how the birthday boy wanted to, (minus the allergies) and he said it was perfect, so what else matters?

Rob left town for the week super early Sunday morning, so the little lady and I were on our own for the day. It was SO WINDY, but we went to the park again, and had so much fun. I'm so thankful that we can be outside in the middle of "winter." I was stir-crazy after just a couple of weeks inside. We are Texas girls through & through ;)
Thankfully, my dad is coming in today to spend the week with his girls and substitute in Rob's absence!

Can I ask for a favor?? :) Will you go to Leah's FB page and like/comment on Jaqs' picture in her Simply Made With Love shirt?? The picture with the most likes & comments gets THREE free shirts, and you know I'm all about that!! PLEASE and THANK YOU! :)

Hope you have a great Monday!

Five on Friday

Hi my friends! I hope your 2014 is off to a good start. Ours has been kind of wacky so far, but definitely in a good way. It looks as though this year will bring some changes for our family, so I'm excited to get this thing on! Can't wait until I can share more.
PS--#notpregnant

Anyway, on to the real purpose of this post...Five on Friday!
As always, I'm linking up with Darci and the other lovely ladies :)
{one} Our final Christmas. This past weekend, we had one last Christmas with my brother and his family in San Antonio! It was a fun weekend spent watching the cousins play, opening gifts, staying in a hotel with a toddler (a real treat ;)), and most importantly, being together!
J got to sleep in the "big bed" with us at the hotel ;)
{two} Productivity. Doesn't everyone resolve to be more productive & organized in the new year? I know I always do, and so far I've been successful in that...well, for this week ;) After being gone for most of the last 2 weeks, it's been refreshing to get back into our little routine here at home. Closets & cabinets have been cleaned out, the house has been deep cleaned, and a boat-load of "stuff" has been donated. I love the fresh start that a new year brings!
l: I've been freezing half of what I've made each night this week for future dinners. WHY have I not done this before? I hate throwing away leftovers, so this is a much better solution.
r: Jaqs is a big laundry helper! I sort it for her then she loads the washer, moves it to the dryer, and unloads the dryer for me. What a girl!

{three} Juicing. Do you juice? I go through spurts of it, and after all the eating that comes with the holiday season, I was feeling like my gut needed a reboot. I've been juicing once a day this week, and I've really enjoyed it. Jaqs has, too! I prepped all my fruits & veggies on Sunday so they'd be ready to throw in, and that has made the process much speedier and more convenient. I've also been putting the juicer pulp to use; I'll share how next week :)

{four} Valentine's Day. Is it too soon? I sure hope not because I'm already dressing Jaqs in pink, red, and hearts galore! She had several things in her closet, but of course we had to add in a sweet shirt made by Leah! Is it not the cutest?! Love, love.
{five} Hubby's birthday. The man in the house turns 29 tomorrow! We're keeping it low-key for his last year in his 20s and just spending the day as a family per Rob's request. After a week of gloomy weather, the weekend looks amazing, so we're all looking forward to getting out and taking in the fresh air and sunshine together!

Happy Weekend!

Four Christmases--a picture overload!

Happy 2014, everyone!
2013 proved to be a pretty great year for the Galusha's, but 2014 is already looking promising, too, so I'm thrilled to get this new year started! I'm excited to see what God has in store for us!

Before we get too far into 2014, I wanted to share Christmas 2013! We had an amazing Christmas, and Jaqs loved all the fun and excitement that came along with it. She must have been a pretty good girl this year because she got everything she could have ever dreamed of and MORE thanks to being one of the few kids on both sides of our families ;)

I have so many pictures from the day that I thought I'd just do a photo-purge-post to document the festivities! Sound good? Awesome. Here we go...

Santa goodies
J was THRILLED to get these giant jacks! Haha! I love them, too.
And she knew just what to do to show off her new clothes ;)

Oh, those hugs, they're the best.
J is loving her new magna-doodle!

We can't thank all of our parents and grandparents enough for all that they did to make Christmas extra special and filled with love. We had the very best day thanks to all of you!

Now, 4 Christmases down & 1 to go this weekend in San Antonio with my brother and his sweet little family. We can't wait for even more family fun!
