I can't believe it's already Friday! This week has gone by super fast it seems like. I'm linking up with some fabulous ladies today for their new "Five on Friday" series. Be sure to check it out!
1. I have no idea how I came across this feed on the ol' insta, but I am OBSESSED with @passionforbaking! She has the most adorably charming kitchen I've ever seen. If you've been following me for awhile, then you know I have a pink kitchen, so all these precious pastels are right up my alley. She also bakes up the most delicious looking treats I've ever seen! I would love to sit at that bar & take some lessons from her!
3. Jaqs had a couple of firsts this week. She made it up the stairs on the back of the slide and then down it without any assistance from me! Such a big girl! She also got her first goose egg :( I'm honestly surprised this hasn't happened sooner because she's a wild one, but she handled it well and didn't cry for long! She has a nice bruise now.
4. I'm obsessed with all things watermelon, and how delish does this "Watermelon Breeze" look?? It's just watermelon, coconut water, lime, and ice. Sounds so refreshing, but if we're being honest, it might be yummy to add a little rum in the mix, right?!
5. When did your littles go to one nap? I think Jaqs is starting to make the switch, and I haven't decided how I feel about it yet! I love routine, but I do complain about the morning nap holding us back from activities, so maybe it will be a good thing?? If you have any advice on the big switch, I'm all ears!

I will have to find her on instagram! That kitchen is precious!
The problem with prolonged workouts is the fact that they make
the chemical "cortisol". Cortisol is called the stress hormone.
When the body is under duress (or you encounter bodily, emotional
or other stress) it releases cortisol into your body. Cortisol relaxes
the body but a lot more importantly (for fitness purposes) it reduces your body's ability to produce protein. Protein is vital for muscle maintenance. (Source 1 and Source two)

That kitchen and watermelon drink look amazing. Your little girl is adorable. Have a great weekend.
we bobbled the first nap back and forth around 17 MO and dropped it for good by the end of 18 MO...took her about 1 MO to get back into a good nap..it went from only 1 HR to 1.5 and now its 2.5-3! Its an adjustment phase..so just pick a time and stick it out..she will come around eventually. in the meantime, early bed time! which is always nice ;)
and im dying for that watermelon drink..to bad i cant add the rum ;)
That watermelon drink looks delicious!
Happy Friday!

Why don't I recall that you have a pink kitchen?!?? I feel like that's something I should remember! Also, having sworn off for the past several seasons, I decided to watch the bachelorette this time since I have nothing to watch right now. I feel the same way...and it seems most of the guys are...um..."d-bags" (sorry! but it is the most accurate term!) and I'm not so sure about Des either. I liked Ben-with-the-kid the most so far. And please tell me why the dancer-major-creepster-dude is an ER doc? And there's a pretty gooberish guy named Brooks. Womp womp. Anyway, we should obvi text about the show while watching it...right?! ;)
H gave up his 2-a-days not long after turning one if I recall correctly. :-/
Oh and that cartoon is TOTALLY ME. Haha!
I "watched at" the first episode of the Bachelorette and it was okay. However, I did love the guy Ben from Dallas who introduced is amazingly adorable little boy! I think that's what sold me on him haha. As for the watermelon drink, it looks yummy! And I would for sure add the rum ;)! And Jaqs is adorable like always!
As for the naps...Kaeden did it all on his own. However we have never really had a routine. But that has worked out well for us.
Jackson was the exact same as what Megan explained above! 18 months was the magic # for him! And one nap a day is really nice because it does free up your mornings! We run errands / meet friends for a play date or early lunch and are home by 12:45 and he usually naps for 2 hrs!
Thanks for linking up again!! I'm loving this fun little link-up! Happy weekend to you and your crew! :)
Owen goes back and forth between 1 and 2 naps. He's 16 months now and he's kind of leaning toward just one nap now. Sometimes I really miss that morning nap that allowed me to get things going around the house while still getting that afternoon nap to use for reading / blogging / etc.
Yay for Jaqs making it up and DOWN the stairs on her own! The down is definitely a real skill! Boo for he bruise :(
