Five on Friday

Friday! I've been waiting all week for you!
Of course, I'm linking up with Darci and the other lovely ladies for another edition of Five on Friday!
{one} I'm ALL about embracing the turkey & leaving Christmas decor for AFTER Thanksgiving, but I'm dying to get my stuff out this year! I think it must have something to do with being a mom and seeing all the magic of the season in a new way. That being said, I'm definitely NOT looking forward to trying to keep Jaqs out of our tree. We don't have a baby gate, so blocking her from it is kind of out of the question. We'll see how that goes. I did pick this little felt tree up at Target, so hopefully she'll enjoy decorating and un-decorating it!
{two} Speaking of Christmas decor, I'm totally garland obsessed lately! I'm hoping some of these cuties will be part of a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale so I can make one or two of them mine!
{three} Have y'all tried the McDonald's Pumpkin Spice Latte? It may not be as good as Starbucks, but it's pretty darn close!! And half the price. I'm a fan!
{four} This ridiculous e-card makes me laugh every stinkin' time I see it. I mean, is it dead on or what?! Personally, I've not ever slapped the sh*t out of someone, but I'm not saying the thought has never crossed my mind when I get those judgey looks from others about something my child is doing ;) You moms know the ones!
{five} One of my life-long friends is getting married this weekend, so Jaqs and I are off to Abilene to celebrate with her and her husband-to-be! I'm so excited to go "home" and see everyone! We're sad that daddy can't join us, and that we have to miss our first play-off game, but we'll be cheering on the Wildcats via radio!
This picture is KILLING me, by the way. HOW was my peas so itty bitty?!? Tears.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! XO

I am terrified of Hayden messing with the tree too. I think I might just have to get a baby gate specifically for that reason.

I am having a friend try to find the felt tree for me though!

Have a great time at the wedding!

Caleb was mobile and a little over one at Christmastime last year. We told him the bulbs were "owie" and after about two times he left the tree alone. The novelty wore off pretty quick - hopefully it works that way for your too!

I love that ecard too! So true. I'm with you on the mcdonalds pumpkin spice. We got one on a road trip two months ago and were pleasantly surprised.

I think I need to get that cute felt tree for our playroom. And I love garland too!

That e-card is PERFECTION! How true is that?!

And I hear ya with the tree thing... it was fairly tough with J last year. But, after a few days of getting on to him he pretty much figured it out. Of course, that didn't fully stop him, but it wasn't a constant ordeal after that!

LOVE THAT FELT TREE! I didn't see one at my Target today! I think that's part of the trick - give them a "tree" of their own that they know they can play with!

Happy weekend, dear!
