We had the girl's 4 month check-up on Monday! Dr. F said she's a healthy baby and is right on track with milestones and development...music to a momma's ears! The shots were, as always, heartbreaking, but thankfully Jaqs never ran a fever and was back to her happy self after a nap. Praise the Lord for that!
Jaqs is weighing in at 13 lbs, 11 oz and is 24 in long. Puts her in the 50th percentile for both.
I'm obsessed with this baby girl's eyes.
I love it when she blinks slow, almost like she's batting her eyes at me.
She's wanting to sit all the time now...too big! She much prefers the support of mom or dad over her Bumbo, so we spend a lot of time holding her up :)
Jaqs had an awesome time with the paper on this particular visit...she crumpled it up under her little feet over, and over...and over. Simple pleasures!
And in other news, we're going to need to start some 'nap-training' around here.
If you have any advice on the subject, PLEASE help a girl out and dish it. I've been hoping the back-and-forth would stop and it wouldn't be necessary, but here we are. Seriously, any help would be SO appreciated!

Well you know us- we always did swing naps. We did the eat, play, sleep cycle for a long time. Just within the last couple of weeks, we have started crib naps and it has been a seamless transition thankfully! He cries for less than a minute when we put him down. What's going on with Jaqsy girl's naps?
I totally adore the 2nd picture. Just beautiful!
I can't believe four months have already passed!!!
LOVE that photo of you two together! :) So sweet...
I always used the eat-play-sleep cycle, until about 5-6 months old, then I loosely followed the sample schedules at the Baby Sleep Site (the FREE ones). If something wasn't working for us, I changed it up a little... But it was just nice to have a reference to look at, and it worked really well for us!

katie send me a message with what she's currently doing and ill send you Ls at that age :) she is seriously too cute with all that hair! haaha
I have connor on a great schedule and i really believe in feeding on demand! Since she is 4 mo & you are BF, have you considered giving her rice cereal for the extra iron? it will fill her up! Of course, only if she's ready for solids! My son was staring at our food at 4 months, so I started him on solids. now after breakfast he takes a nap, after lunch he takes a nap & after dinner & bath he is ready for bed! Dont worry, she will sleep longer soon!
Oh Katie she is just adorable and she always looks so happy, which is attributable to her wonderful parents. Good luck Cats and I'm so looking forward to seeing Jaqs in her game-day gear :)
